2017 ADMISSION DEADLINE: 1.1 MILLION CANDIDATES YET TO ACCEPT ADMISSION - JAMB
The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board has disclosed that up to 1.6 million candidates were recommended for admission in the 2017/2018 Academic Session. This happens to be the highest so far in recent years. However, out of the 1.6 million candidates, only about 500,000 candidates have accepted their admission on JAMB CAPS while about 1.1 million candidates are yet to Accept their Admission. This was disclosed by the JAMB’s Head of Media, Dr Fabian. According to Dr Fabian, the increase in the number of candidates recommended for admission is as a result of the reduction of Cut-off marks as well as the introduction of the Central Admission Processing System (CAPS).
