Angry mob lynch man for stealing yam in Enugu

ENUGU-A middle aged man have been reportedly killed by angry mob for stealing yams at Amorji Nike, Abakpa in Enugu East local government area, Enugu State.

Vanguard gathered that the man was beaten to death by the mobs on 4th of October 2017 and later dumped the dead body in a compound where it was recovered.
According to Enugu State Police spokesman, Ebere Amarizu, two suspects have already been arrested for their involvement in the incident and they are helping the police in investigations.

“Enugu State Command of the Nigeria police force through its operatives have commenced a full scale investigation into the alleged incident at Amorji Nike Enugu of Abakpa axis in Enugu East Local Government Area of Enugu state in which a man was allegedly beaten to death for allegedly stealing a yam.

“It was gathered that a man whose identity is yet to be established was allegedly beaten to death on 4/10/17 at Amorji Nike Enugu for stealing yam and later dumped the dead body in a compound from where it was recovered.

“Investigations have commenced in full scale as two suspects have been nabbed and they are helping the operatives in the investigations”, Amarizu disclosed.
